Volunteer Locally

The Gorilla Foundation is looking for local folks who can commit to a regular weekly schedule of several hours per week, Monday through Friday; some evening and weekend slots may be available as well.
We need the following types of volunteers to help in our business office located in Redwood City, California:
Professional Volunteers
- Legal Professionals: to help with contractual, copyright and licensing issues
- Finance Professionals: to help with accounting, budgeting and forecasting issues
- Library Science Professionals: to help with book, photo and video data archival
Non-Professional Volunteers
- Assembling shelving and other light carpentry
- Electronic/computer maintenance and troubleshooting hardware and software
- Office tasks including phones, filing, correspondence with donors
- Answering email and snailmail - this position needs someone well-versed in the history and work of the Gorilla Foundation, or someone willing to acquire this knowlege quickly
- Database entry for various library, archive and inventory files
