Koko had an adopted baby brother. His name was Michael. Michael came to live with us when he was 3 years old. Penny taught both Koko and Michael sign language. They became the only two "talking" gorillas in the world. Michael was also a very talented artist. However, Michael passed away in the year 2000 at the age of 27. We all miss him, and his memory lives on in everything we do.
