Dear Valued Supporter,
Koko was born on the 4th of July!
It’s been six years since Koko passed away and I still miss her warm loving presence, and the lessons she taught us about how much more alike we are than different.
Please watch the following birthday tribute video to reconnect with Koko’s legacy and the critical plan we’ve developed to save gorillas from extinction and captivity.
Our mission of Conservation through Communication focuses on 4 core programs:
1) KokoArc is our multimedia database which preserves five decades of interspecies communication data, insights, and research discoveries about our fellow great apes.
2) KokoApp is our phone app, Koko Signs, which enables everyone to learn sign language from a gorilla, and also understand our similarities and differences.
3) KokoKids teaches kids of all ages about Koko and gorilla conservation, and potentially converts gorilla poachers to protectors and advocates.
4) KokoCares focuses on optimizing the care of gorillas in captivity and giving them a path to freedom through an advanced design methodology and strategic partnerships.
Please support our mission to help save gorillas by making a generous contribution on the occasion of Koko’s birthday.
Note: When you make a monthly donation of $10 or more — or a one-time gift of $100 or more — you’ll receive a beautiful exclusive Koko plush gorilla as a thank you gift
Thank you so much for caring about the future of gorillas, and having confidence in The Gorilla Foundation (and Koko) to ensure it!
