This photo of Ndume”s left hand shows areas of less pigment in the skin. This callused area of his fingers is what makes contact with the ground as he walks. Gorilla and human hands are, except for size, very similar. Comparing to an adult male human, Ndume”s hands are approximately 40 % longer.
