All on board Ndume”s love boat

Ndume, as the resident male silverback, likes to be in charge. Here he is in the outdoor enclosure soaking up the sun in his very own boat (sans water- gorillas are typically not very fond of water). Interestingly, Koko, Ndume”s female counterpart, is also a bit of a “control freak,” which explains why they”re not sharing the same boat. Solution: larger “boat” (we”re working on it).
