Realizing Koko's Legacy; Part 2:
The Voice of Nature

Dear Friend,

In the following video, Koko helps us remember that Earth Day (April 22) is not just an event but an ongoing process to become more in touch with our vital connection to Nature and begin to consciously care for it and all the living beings with whom we share this planet.

Koko is "The Voice of Nature" (video)

Koko's message is even more relevant and urgent now than it was in 2015 when it was first presented at the Paris Climate Conference, in partnership with NOE, a French nonprofit dedicated to protecting biodiversity.

According to a recent report by the United Nations on biodiversity, up to one million species now face extinction due to humans — from global warming to pollution, ocean acidification, deforestation, and other human-caused environmental threats!

Koko is right: Man is acting "Stupid."  Nevertheless, Koko also signed "Man Koko-Love."  She continued to have faith that humans would eventually do the right thing.

Will we live up to her expectations?

Your support will enable The Gorilla Foundation to continue bringing interspecies communication to the public for the benefit of gorillas everywhere (remember, all gorillas are potentially Kokos), so that we may continue to hear more of their thoughts and feelings and learn from each other.  For years, Man has wanted to "talk with the animals."  Now that we can, let's extend this gift to future generations.

This is Koko's Legacy; please help us make it a reality!

In the weeks ahead we'll be sharing other aspects of Koko's Legacy with you in video form so that she can continue to inform, remind and inspire us to make progress on our ongoing mission of conservation through interspecies communication — which has significant benefits for all great ape species, including our own!

Thank you for caring about Koko, and sharing her message and her love!

With "Koko-Love,"

Penny and Koko
